Why a miata?

Mike has wanted a small sports car since he attended a road race rally in the Ozarks (were he grew up). The Miata satisfied that dream.

Tell us a little more about you.

Mike and Judy moved to the Charleston area in September '05 after spending over 30 years in San Diego and 3 yrs in Richmond, VA.

Mike works in statistics and data analysis. He currently is starting up a consulting business (MIKS & Assoc). He works with banks and financial institutions in the area of credit scoring.

Judy is a retired teacher (math and music). She is currently pursuing an education in art, an old dream of hers.

Mike and Judy met at the University of Arkansas where they were attending graduate school in Mathematics. They share a love of music, having sung professionally with the San Diego Opera Chorus for over 10 years. They have two children, Edward (Ed) and Helen (Ellie). Ed is following in pursuing a musical career, currently singing tenor with the Minneapolis Opera as a young artist. Ellie is back in San Diego after spending two years in Japan teaching English in elementary schools near Nagoya.
