Hi, my name is Mike Grenier, but I also go by the name “Mike Greene” (my radio name from my days with “Oldies 102.5 FM”). I am a transplanted New Englander (Maine). I moved down here to get away from the cold and the snow about 25 years ago. Low country weather is the best ! …Except for maybe the occasional hurricane.
I am very active. I work full time for Cummins (a diesel engine company) and I run a mobile DJ service here in the low country. I am single (divorced). I have one daughter (Christine) who recently graduated from Boston University and is now studying acting in New York City. I live in Summerville. For fun I often can be found playing drums with musician friends, but mostly I “DJ” for private parties on weekends (it pays better).
I enjoy the beach, the mountains, swimming, fishing, canoeing, going to flea markets. I have a few hobbies... I collect old Rock n’ Roll records and CDs, I do woodworking, and dabble a bit in digital photography and computers.
I acquired my Miata, “Lil Blue”, a few years ago from my sister in law (She gave the car the name “Lil Blue”). It’s nothing fancy, pretty much factory stock, but on a clear day I love putting the top down, putting on some great “cruising” music and checking out new places. I’m looking forward to some great times with all you folks in the “Lowcountry Miata Club”.
