Nancy & Chris Holtzman
How did you find the club?
When we moved to the lowcountry from Santee 7 years ago, we knew we needed to find ways to make new friends and form a community for ourselves. We looked online at different interests, and found the Lowcountry Miata Club website, contacted the president and have been members ever since.
What has been your favorite club event?
We really like to travel and tour with the club. Besides our own Doin" the Charleston events, we really enjoyed Colorfest in Asheville, and the Pennsylvania rally in 2010. We enjoy history so we love to travel and find out of the way locations, museums, and so forth. Lowcountry Miata Club has been a gerat organization for us: good friends, great trips, and a lot of good food and fellowship.
Why a miata?
When Nancy retired (the first time), she looked for the "little red convertible" she had promised herself as a reward for 30 years of being an educator, and found Little Red, a one owner '92 model. Chris enjoyed it so much that he kept driving it, so she told him to get his own. He bought a white'99, Snowball, which he traded for the one he (we) have now, Speed.
