Thursday 24th – 27th – DEAL’S GAP XII - Simply one of THE best events of the year! Imagine hundreds of Miatas taking over a little town in the mountains for 3 fun-filled days of driving, friendship and great food. Lots of interesting sights to see, lots of driving, where there are actual curves in the roads, some more hairy than an ape’s armpits, and ton of cool stuff to look at if your in the market for new additions to your car. This is the place to see all those mods you see in the catalogues and online IN PERSON! Great event and more details will come later.

Deals Gap NOTE: If you plan on going to Deal's Gap in July and you haven't got your room yet, I highly suggest you start looking for one. The longer you wait, the less chance you will have to find a room within 2 hours driving distance. Most attendees of the previous Gap Run reserve their rooms the day they LEAVE the prior year, making it hard to find a room close to the “central” meeting points. We have 20 rooms reserved at the Fontana Village (July 24th-July 27th) which is within 20 minutes of everything, including Gas, Food, Groceries, Car Washes, etc. They are also extremely reasonable on rates. If you are interested in one of the rooms, please contact Bunny to get your name on the list for a room. Details for room Reservations. ALL ROOMS ARE NOW GONE. If you need to cancel your room, please contact Bunny FIRST!! We will post details on itinerary’s and other information on the event within the next month.

(Directions)  For information on jobs we can do and parts you may need to complete them, click here. The club will be providing the main entrée, sodas and paper goods. Bring your favorite side dish (some ideas are potato salad or other salads, desserts, chips etc.). Contact Bunny and let her know what you are bringing. Please RSVP by September 26th and be sure to include what you are bringing and any projects you may want to work on. We’ll have coffee and doughnuts for the early birds, so come as early as you want! We'll be doing odd jobs on our beloved Miatas in preparation for the driving season. If you have a light project you need done, no shocks or engine rebuilds ;), let us know and we'll see if we can do it! Be sure to arrive early if you need work done. The event’s Mechanics will decide in what order the jobs go in, so if your name is called and you aren’t there, you’ll have to go to the end of the list! Not all jobs can be done at Tech Day in order to make time for everyone. The event's Mechanics will decide if a job is done or not. We have plenty of room and plenty of tools. If you don't need anything done, come on out and have a chat with some of our other members. And don't forget about the 50/50 raffle! Tech Day's are always some of our best events! We’ll be contacting the Paintless Dent people to see if they can come out and give us a demonstration as well. So if you’ve got dents, you’ll want to see these guys! A list of RSVP’s and jobs being done can be found here.

Saturday 11th – 9th Annual Streets of Thunder Car Show at Texas Roadhouse We will meet in the parking lot of the Northwoods Baptist Church (per your pre-registration instructions) at 8:30 to drive over in a group. If you want to come later, you can, but you need to be there as soon as you can to get as many votes for your car as possible. After noon, all registrations are closed and the voting will be half over. Bring plenty of snacks and drinks. There will be bathrooms in the Super K-Mart and Texas Roadhouse. If you are looking to have lunch, you may want to consider going across the street to McDonald’s as Texas Roadhouse will be standing room only. Depending on how everyone feels after the show, we will either part ways or possibly head off for dinner somewhere nearby. This is the 9th Annual Streets of Thunder Open Car Show presented by the Coastal Carolina Corvette Club with the proceeds to benefit “Children In Crisis”. Early registration can be done until September 28th and you can register the day of the show from 9 – 12. Awards will be given out at 4pm. The Coastal Carolina Corvette Club voted to give us our own MIATA class for this show and it will be printed on all the flyers they give out and all the advertising they do this year! They are even saving special parking for us according to my confirmation letter I got. So now there is even more reason for you to come out and join us for a day of fun, friends, cars and food! There will be 50/50 raffles, live entertainment, Dash Plaques to the first 150 as well as additional awards for things such as Best Interior, Best Engine, Best Paint, and Club Participation. For more information and for registration forms, visit  www.4cccc.com. Let’s see if we can’t win that Club Participation Award! Don’t forget to wear/bring your Club Gear to show your Club Spirit! If you’ve got Shirts, Tags, Pins, Magnets, Hats and anything else with the LMC logo or name bring it or wear it! This was a great show and one of the largest shows some of us have ever participated in. Last year we had 13 Miatas show and we’d like to top that number this year!

Sodas, water and coffee will be provided and members are asked to bring a dish to share, keeping in the theme of Pumpkins and Halloween. If you can think up a spooky name for your dish, let me know!
